One fine Saturday afternoon had my first 2008 gathering with ECC at Botanic Gardens. =]
We arranged to meet at the gate beside Gleneagles. Was told by Linden the gate is named as Nassim gate, unfortunately it turned out to be Tanglin gate. So, poor Von was at the Nassim gate got a little panicky when she couldn't see us anywhere. Then, she started a hunt for us. Not treasure hunt, but finding a sculpture - A girl on a bicycle. And that was our meeting point.
BB and I were good in reading maps, we easily found the sculpture without any difficulties. We were the last to reach there though. All of us were excited to realise Botanic Gardens is beautiful with the greens surrounding us.
We settled down near the bandstand for our picnic session. It was very nice for Linden to prepare the sandwiches, salads, buyiing the mats, the sparkling waters and glasses for us. She even got us the mosquitoes spray. Lucky she got that, I super in need of it. =P SM got us her homemade muffins and Qiu got us potato salad. The ladies were really nice, aren't they?
The weather was pretty good till it suddenly got cloudy. Since we were almost full and our butts getting muddy due to the grounds were still wet by the previous day's rain, we packed the stuff together and headed to the foodcourt before we got caught in the rain.
Enjoying the air-conditioned room, very fast I zonked out. While the rest sitting there playing PSP and DS, reading newsapaper.
Ended the day, with Qiu and Alyssa who met us after 8pm for dinner.
