I so much wanted to write something more light-hearted words here. But after reading articles in the Yahoo News, it really scared me off!
"The latest economic news remained grim as the US Labor Department said new claims for unemployment benefits in the past week jumped to a 16-year high of 542,000" - Yahoo News
"With Citigroup stock value plunging, top executives at the financial giant are considering the sale of all or parts of the company, the Wall Street Journal reported on its website." - Yahoo News
I pity retrenchments, retirees and not that rich people who lost money from the market. As for the rich, hmm... they have plenty to lose. It's time for them to ''donate'' some percentage of their huge bank accounts to the less fortunates. Anyway, this is what we call money circulation.
Yesterday, I went to Orchard for awhile. Everywhere is giving discounts, promotions, sales. I can feel the impact of the financial crisis. Do people really splurge their money on goods even in such situations? COE is $2, reported yesterday's news. Amazing, huh? It ponders me that will people get a car? Silly me to have such questions. Consumers do spend no matter what times we are in. The rich would just grab the deals at cheaper rates, which makes them better off. And the poor, trying hard to save here and there... I'm glad that I'm still able to spend and save abit. Finished my Isetan and Wisma vouchers. Lately, I just wanna use my money on skincare and cosmetics, not much on clothings.
After which, I still wish this stupid crisis thingy will just end off soon.
Okay, I better off for now...No more unpleasant stuff for the next entry... =) Wish everyone can survive through all these rubbish...
